A Destination Wedding in the Heart of the Rockies

Cayce and Jordan flew out from Pennsylvania to exchange vows in the breathtaking mountains for this remote Alma, Colorado Wedding. As soon as we arrived, we understood exactly why they had chosen this spot for their wedding. The towering peaks, partially covered in ominous storm clouds, created a inspiring backdrop, one that Colorado is known for.

A Ceremony Deep in Nature

Their ceremony location was deep in nature, accessible by a trail road that felt completely secluded from the rest of the world. A peaceful stream ran nearby, and the fog slowly settled in, adding to the already dreamy atmosphere. Before the ceremony began, we sent the drone up to capture the raw beauty of the landscape, and it was truly something special.

An Unexpected Guest

Jordan arrived first, giving us a chance to chat while waiting for Cayce. As we stood there, something unexpected caught our attention, a silent observer watching from a distance. We’ve seen a lot in our years as photographers, but this was a first: a moose! It stood quietly, observing from afar, adding a wild and unforgettable element to the day.

A Stunning Mountain Ceremony

When Cayce arrived, she walked down the rugged trail, her aisle, toward Jordan, with the towering mountains behind her and a light snowfall beginning to dust the ground. Their ceremony was intimate and heartfelt, with the kind of quiet serenity that only nature can provide.

A Picture-Perfect Couples Session

After capturing family photos, we set off for their couples' session, and just in time, the snowfall picked up, creating an absolutely breathtaking backdrop. Every frame was filled with the beauty of Colorado’s winter wilderness, making for some of the most epic wedding portraits.

A Toast to an Unforgettable Day

As the final moments of the evening unfolded, Cayce and Jordan popped champagne, toasting with their loved ones in celebration. And, as if the day couldn’t have been more surreal, we looked over to find that our moose guest had wandered over to the ceremony site, perhaps to see what all the excitement was about.

This wedding was a dream to photograph, stunning, intimate, and filled with once-in-a-lifetime moments. Cayce and Jordan’s adventurous spirits led them to a wedding day that was nothing short of extraordinary.
