When I was browsing the Internet looking for online photography competition education :), I came across this advertisement
Submit a postcard size image using either photography, illustration or artwork that ‘captures’ the spirit
I sent the picture of Wheel of Manchester that I took some time ago during the cold New Year Eve. I posted them here. I didn’t put much hope on winning however I really wanted them to be shown in CUBE gallery between March and April 2009 together with UK landscape photographer, John Davies. 600 entries were submitted and all of them got their chance to be featured in the gallery and my pic was one of them. Although I didn’t win, but to be exhibited in the gallery was something to be talked about. Even though the pic was a tiny 4″ x 6″ prints.,(duhh) the most important thing was I’ve grabbed the opportunity that not everybody had. I’m sure there were a couple of Malaysians being featured in the gallery and they must have been proud of themselves too.
They came out with a memorable Capture Manchester book and I got a copy as a keepsake. I think I have done justice to the picture by not just keeping it hidden in my hard disk.
